Donate to FLM-Haiti
People in Haiti desperately need our help now. By giving to FLM-Haiti, you can be assured that your donation will go directly to help people there. Our costs for ongoing services have risen, and new funds to support continuing services are needed.
Sponsor a Haitian School Child
You can sponsor a child’s school attendance, for $25 a month, ensuring that the child receives school supplies, a uniform, textbooks, and a nutritious meal and vitamins each day.
Hire a Teacher
You can also provide the salary for an elementary school teacher at College Mixte Devaise Pamphile with a contribution of $150 a month.
Bibles and Hymn Books
FLM’s literacy program spans two years. At the end of each year, those who have completed their segment of the program receive either a Bible or a hymnbook. If you could see the look on their faces when they receive these precious books, you would never forget it. Books in Creole cost $10 each—more than many Haitians spend on food in a week.
Textbooks for the School
Textbooks cost an average of $4 each. With student enrollment growing, we need more books. Your donation for textbooks–or for library books, or reference materials such as maps–allow us to make important improvements to the quality of education at College Mixte Devaise Pamphile.
Purchase Food in Haiti
We provide a hot meal and vitamins every school day to 600 students. We would like to expand this to include the summer months, and to include pregnant women and nursing mothers. Your donation can help us to reach that goal.
Supply Medicine and Items for Personal Hygiene
We solicit medical and hygiene items for our mission trips. Medical items might include pain relievers, triple antibiotic ointment, fungal creams, Monistat, items like Tums and Rolaids, and non-medicated eye drops. Hygiene items include toothbrushes, small tubes of toothpaste, hotel-size soaps and shampoos, and nail clippers.
